Humble Beginnings
Chef Justin Quek's culinary journey began with humble roots and an unwavering drive to refine his palate. He took a pay cut to train at Fourchettes in Singapore's Oriental Hotel before investing his life savings in a self-initiated "Tour de France", working in Michelin-starred kitchens to master classical French techniques.
He later trained at Le Gavroche in London under Michel and Albert Roux before continuing throughout France, learning regional traditions, seasonal cooking and refined craftsmanship under renowned chef Bertrand Langlet.
