Satay Marinade

Perfectly balanced marinade for juicy, aromatic satay. 1.2kg of meat yields approximately 35–40 satay sticks.

Ingredients

  • 1kg Meat cubes (lamb, beef, pork, or chicken)
  • 125g Chef Justin’s Satay Marinade
  • 4g Salt
  • 18g Sugar
  • 6g Cumin powder
  • 6g Cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Marinade meat with Chef Justin’s Satay Marinade, salt, sugar, cumin powder, and oil. Mix well and refrigerate overnight.
  2. Skewer the marinated meat onto soaked bamboo sticks.
  3. Grill satay on a hot pan, grill, or charcoal over medium heat for about 4 minutes until browned. Cover with a lid, reduce heat to low, and cook for another 3 minutes.
  4. Alternatively, after 2 minutes of grilling, transfer skewers to a preheated oven at 180°C and cook for 5 minutes.
